Brookside Resort was built in 1931, 3 years before the Great Smoky Mountains National Park was declared and was once considered one of Gatlinburg's premier hotels. When they called to ask if we would be on their show we were hesitant at first because we had just reopened Brookside shortly before the show was filmed in December 2014. There was a coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. They serve a nice breakfast ( eggs,bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pastries, milk, juice and coffee all for $5 a person.
