Seeing that Elmo wouldn't go away he decided to release a giant chicken to scare the little monster away, despite Bug begging him not to do it. i never thought i would say this, but i'm starting to love family movies like this one. In the end, Huxley is presumably arrested as there was a police officer Grouch in the crowd, though it isn't actually seen as the film focuses more on the cast and Grouches celebrating as they head back home. We, the audience, are asked to count backwards from ten so that the film may begin; in keeping with the spirit of the viewing, I acquiesced.

I have probably seen it with my daughter at least 6 times, but I still laugh at sight gags and funny lines and continue to find it hilariously funny how sexy Vanessa Williams' character is especially for a pre-school kid's movie! Thank you. Elmo loves his fuzzy, blue blanket, and would never let anything happen to it.
Initially I was hesitant about the purchase because I wasn't sure if he would enjoy the movie, plus it was long considering he'd never watched anything that for that length of time. : Take the kids to see it- you and them will love it! Elmo is about to give up, until a caterpillar encourages him to keep trying.

In the second Sesame Street theatrical film, fourteen years after Follow That Bird, Elmo spends time with his favorite blanket. I liked the part where Elmo had to do 100 Raspberries. Bug Vanessa Williams cameo is nice too. :
Director Gary Halvorson develops a colorful new world but the story is limited segments or episodes to test Elmo as he draws closer to his prize.
He has an obsession with taking things that do not belong to him (somewhat like kleptomania) - though he also takes unnatural delight in the hurt denying things to others brought: In essence, he is an embodiment of greed and selfishness at its worst while still being tame enough, so as not to scare the audience (who would be, on the whole, fairly young children). I know! He convinces Elmo that he has what it takes to be brave. Elmo wishes that it would be Christmas every day, but with the help of Santa's reindeer-in-training, Lightning, he learns that might not be such a good idea when he sees the future.

Beautiful Day Monster | "Sesame Street" has given us so many iconic characters and only Elmo and Oscar the Grouch really have a big role here. I think it's time for Elmo to take a little "trip to the tunnel", if you know what I mean, huh?
There are all the usual messages here - sharing, sticking up for yourself/fighting for a cause, being a friend, etc. I'll give you back the sun, and the Earth, and the moon, and the stars, and the... Bug Elmo embarks on a rescue mission, learning important lessons about sharing and responsibility.

It can be for the kids because the characters are so likable (especially Elmo played by Kevin Klash) and it can be for the parents because they remember the lovable characters they used to watch as a child.
