Theres some references to pop-culuture and her other works in the OVA if you look which is pretty cool and the whole "suit that restricts her strength" thing was neat.

Maris was released in a vhs English dub sometime in the 90s. Traveling with Maris is Murphy, from a kitsune-like race. I am a HUGE Rumiko Takahashi fan, but the version I saw was really low quality. 1 Maris doesn't exactly have the greatest life. So to keep the destruction her race does to a minimum, Thanatosians are made to wear harnesses that limit their strength. She earned her reputation by creating romantic comedy stories which all became incredible bestsellers. The power 'suit' braces actually stop her from being overpowerful, when she's not got them on, she's too powerful for her own good and normally breaks everything around her.

Yūji Nunokawa If you really like her other works then check this out. It was all right. Overall- Not one of Takahashi's best works, but not terrible either, the end left me kind of depressed, but surprises are not that bad and it did make a lot of sense in a way. They were all released, subtitled in English, in the U.S. writer volume_list Generally, this would not be a bad thing, except that the planet Thanatos blew up years ago, and the rest of the galaxy is not set up for people who are six times as strong as everyone else. I prefer to watch them in Japanese just because some jokes get lost in translation, but if you don't speak Japanese, I don't see why people get all upset if you prefer dubs over subs.

Naturally, Maris is furious, and the story ends as she is destroying her ship, while being restrained by Murphy.
