You see, one of Shane’s other successes in her short time on All-Stars was identifying Henry as a “secret friend.” This potential under-the-radar allegiance may have been a key factor in why Henry latched onto Shane’s push to vote Harry with such fervour. Before the votes were read, Mat played his idol on Jacqui, prompting Brooke to play hers on David. Moana and Phoebe were not eligible to vote in the revote. It was a reasonable target for Shane to choose, but what was surprising was how big of an impact it had. Mat, determined to get power back on his side, decided to trust David and use the idol. In his first season, he mostly succeeded in spite of himself as many of his impulsive strategic decisions could have easily spelled his doom as easily as they ultimately succeeded. Shonee informed Harry that the tribe had discussed voting him out, which made Harry consider using his advantage tonight just to give himself a few more days in the game.
