I have a few things I want to say, so I’ve written some stuff down and please bear with me because it is important that I don’t forget anything. At the end of the day, music is my life... it’s my heart, my soul, my passion, and my higher power. The video arrives after a tumultuous 2018 and 2019 for disgraced electronic music producer Datsik.
The #MeToo movement has given a new voice to many victims of sexual assault who have been empowered by the strength of fellow survivors to come forward with their stories about how they have been victimized at the hands of powerful men. Careers toppled as men like Matt Lauer, Louis CK, Kevin Spacey, and many more have been held accountable for using their influence to avoid persecution for their predatory behavior.
DJ/Producer Jauz took to the Twitterverse with his opinion stating: “All I’m gonna say right now is what goes around comes around and you’ll always get what’s coming to you.
If my wish comes true, I promise to raise the bar and live up to your expectations on every level.
Many fans are enraged about what Datsik has done all these years with these tags raising further questions as to what would actually happen backstage throughout all these tours. “I apologize for my poor behavior and the reckless lifestyle that had a detrimental effect on my relationships.”.
Datsik talked about suffering anxiety and depression. As expected, he faced a huge amount of public backlash and his shows and festivals were subsequently canceled.
A tweet from Datsik’s account dating back to 11/6/2011 has since been deleted. Publicly, I know it was hard, but all of the private messages really meant a lot to me. The Datsik sexual assault allegations are disgusting and incredibly disrespectful behavior toward women. The bass music producer was dropped by his agency and management company Deckstar and Circle Talent Agency (the latter of which was absorbed by UTA in April of 2018) in the wake of the allegations, in which the producer was accused of taking advantage of drunk women on his tour bus and having his team hand out passes marked "tulsa" (which reads "a slut" when read backwards) to women who were targets for this behavior.
Following these events, fans took it upon themselves to dig through Datsik’s old offensive tweets from his official account, all of which were unsurprisingly deleted later.

Datsik, real name Troy Beetles, has also come under fire for a string of misogynistic tweets, including confirmation of the meaning of "Tulsa", a term written on all access laminates to denote the recipient's status as "a slut.".
I have learned a lot during this process.

Apparently, it was supposed to be derogatory as it read as ‘a slut’ when reading in a mirror. But that also comes with a great deal of responsibility which I never understood before. I get that it is extremely challenging as a victim to come forward, but at the same time this type of shit is rampant in the music industry and has the power to ruin careers.
I feel embarrassed and ashamed that I caused anyone any distress, for real, it was never intentional, but here we are nonetheless.
